A very dramatic chiffon gown by the designer best known for dressing Marylin Monroe - Travilla! Done in an unusual pink and taupe combination the fabric has been perma-pleated meaning that there is actually yards and yards of fabric in this! It cascades from the shoulders and falls in a caftan like feel to the floor. The way the pink panel is set at a curve gives the wearer height and leanness to balance the sheer amount of fabric in this! The sleeves are semi-sheer and cut in the same shape - widening dramatically as they near their ends. Attached at the neck is a scarf that you can wrap and tie as you wish. It presents perfectly but has a few small flaws - the price is literally half of what it would be because of this and sold as found. Please see next paragraph.
Fully lined in a taupe silk rayon except for the sleeves and closes with a back painted zipper. When on it presents perfectly but when laid flat and the fabric spread out you can see snagging and small snag tears around the bottom of the skirt - I feel this was stored incorrectly and on too short a rack and this is from catching on rollers as racks were moved slightly. Literally halved in price because of this but you could wear this easily and never know - there is so much fabric it gets lost in the folds!
